DeKalb High School and New Tech art classes were invited this past Friday to attend a “Formal and Funky” event at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. The attendees were asked to dress either formal or funky and awards were given out for the most formal and the funkiest looking outfits. Recognition was given to DeKalb High School’s National Silver and Gold key winners in the Scholastic Competition, including four New Tech students (see this post for more information). One of last year’s National Gold key winners, Esther Boller, was also present at the event to meet and greet with students.
To the right, Scott Kennedy and Kortney Yarian show off their funky, paint splattered outfits.
