DigiComm students are taking on the task of adding some
short stories to our Teen Library. Students are reading the novel
Fahrenheit 451. They will be studying
the elements of short story writing, studying how the novel highlights social
concerns, and how they can write about more modern concerns.
Fahrenheit 451 uses fiction to discuss some issues during the decade it was written, and students are asked to do the same with their short stories. They will need to find something they are passionate about and write about it, bringing the issue to light in others’ eyes.
Along with writing a short story, students will be learning about conceptual photography and taking a conceptual photo for their cover page of the story.
