New Tech Geometry students are holding an in-class kite flying competition, while learning about different quadrilaterals.  After investigating the characteristics and properties, each team will choose a shape from the following options: parallelogram, square, rectangle, rhombus, trapezoid, and kite and defend their choice as to which is the better flyer.  The competition will then be held and extra points will be awarded to any team that can successfully fly a nontraditional shaped kite (like a square).
