New Tech art students, along with traditional art students, are working hard preparing for the Annual Spring Art Show set for this weekend. Showcasing at least five pieces of original artwork, groups were formed and will be presenting their pieces on a unified board.
One main piece each New Tech freshman student will have is a self-portrait. The self-portrait is an integral part of the display, as the Visual and Verbal classes incorporated it into a project that included a written piece on which artist the self-portrait was inspired by and why.
New Tech sophomores picked their best and/or favorite pieces from throughout the year to display.
The Annual Art Show will be open in the High School Main Gymnasium. The hours are as follows:
Friday, May 2 6:00 – 9:30 pm
Saturday, May 3 6:00 – 9:30 pm
Sunday, May 4 12:00 – 5:00 pm
Please stop by and look at your student’s hard work, as well as enjoy the artwork from our seniors who will be displaying their best pieces from their high school career.
